Shawn Howell is a nationally respected consultant, strategist, and trainer with nearly 30 years of experience helping mission-driven organizations turn insight into impact. As the founder of SA Howell, LLC, he has partnered with dozens of nonprofits across the country, guiding leaders through the complexities of strategic planning, performance management, and cultural transformation.
He is the author of Mission Aligned. Data Driven., a practical guide for nonprofit leaders navigating the intersection of purpose, performance, and data. His work equips agencies to act with confidence—aligning limited resources with the strategies most likely to create meaningful, mission-centered impact.
Before launching his consulting firm in 2017, Shawn spent nearly two decades in the Community Action Network—a nationwide movement of agencies dedicated to alleviating poverty and improving opportunities for low-income families.
Shawn is also an experienced socioeconomic researcher, frequently engaged in studies that help anti-poverty organizations identify barriers, prioritize investments, and make data-informed funding decisions.
He holds a degree in Communication and certifications in ROMA (Master Trainer), Six Sigma (Black Belt), AI Prompt Engineering, Data-Driven Decision-Making, Forensic Accounting, and Organizational Analytics. His operational insight and communication skill help organizations bridge strategy and storytelling—ensuring their plans, performance, and public messaging are aligned.
He is also an accomplished videographer, with creative work featured on Delta in-flight entertainment and the ESPN SEC Network. His production credits include projects for Chick-fil-A, Delta Air Lines, and multiple Grammy-winning artists.
A former Head Start student and the son of a Head Start teacher, Shawn brings both personal passion and professional depth to every engagement. He lives in metro Atlanta with his wife Angela, a Registered Nurse and full-time consultant with SA Howell, LLC. Together, they serve organizations nationwide and actively serve in their local faith community. They are the proud parents of three sons—Tyler, Thomas, and Andrew.

Angela Howell is a highly accomplished and experienced professional in the medical industry, with a remarkable career spanning over 20 years as a Registered Nurse. She brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role. Additionally, Angela is a Certified Wellness Coach, demonstrating her commitment to providing holistic care to her patients.
Angela’s educational background is diverse, encompassing nursing, business administration, and human resources. This multi-disciplinary foundation allows her to bring a comprehensive and well-grounded perspective to her work. Notably, Angela is also a Six Sigma Black Belt, highlighting her proficiency in quality management and process improvement.
Throughout her career, Angela has held influential leadership positions, including Director of Nursing, Quality Assurance Director, and Chief Administrator of a healthcare office. Angela has also dedicated more than a decade to improving the healthcare needs of school children, emphasizing her commitment to promoting the well-being of diverse populations.
Since 2017, Angela has played a pivotal role in the success of SA Howell, LLC, where she serves as Chief Operations Officer, consultant, and trainer. Her contributions have been instrumental in shaping the company’s initiatives and supporting clients in achieving their organizational goals.
